This should not come as a surprise since not only are business cards really good for saving money, but they are also one of the best ways to show your credibility while making a long-lasting impression.

What should you add to your Business card?

Business cards are not just a tool; they are art itself. Just think about it: This little piece of paper doesn’t just help you make connections but also makes it easier to spread awareness for your brand—that’s why some of the best business cards capture your branding and share your information without making it look like the scribbles of a mad man.

To make your business card stand, you can add the following elements to it:

    Main Elements
Company LogoA company logo can sometimes take your card a long way. Just by including it in your card, you will be able to show your professionalism more easily plus also your credibility, make sure you place it on the front and centre of your card.
Company NameUnless your company logo doesn’t have a name, you can skip this option.
Your NameBusiness cards are used as a means to help you connect with who you are sharing your card with so it’s really important that you make your name essential to your card design, you can even make a calligraphy signature for your name online.
Job titleMake sure to include your role in the industry you work in, it doesn’t matter if you are a founder, manager, or designer.
Email addressYou can share your Including your business email address will help with potential leads and how to get in touch.

How To Design Your Business Card

Before you start making your own fancy business card, ensure you understand its lingo, which means you will have to keep in mind some important printing terms.

    Designing Terms
Bleeding AreaBleeding Area or bleed area is the space around the edges of your business card, which usually gets cut away, so make sure your design does not go past that area.
Safety marginsIt helps in marking lines that should not have any kind of design in them.
Trim lineThis line marks the edges of the card, showing where the printer will make the blade cut.
Colour modeWhile most people design in RGB colour mode, printers use CMYK or Pantone, which can make your designs look a bit different.
Paper stockThis refers to the type and quality of paper you are going to use for your business cards.
ResolutionResolution helps in the clarity and sharpness of the images and graphics in your design while making sure that your business card isn’t pixelated.

    Choosing Your Cards Shape

Generally, you can see most businessmen using the standard card size, which is 3.5 inches wide and 2 inches tall. However, the best thing about creating your own card and designing it is that you have almost endless possibilities when it comes to its shape and size. You can easily make your card look like a square or circle or in more imaginative styles like cupcakes and even cars.

    Finding The Best Placement

As we have said, business cards are like an art form, which means it’s really important to figure out the placement of your information when designing your business card. You will have to prioritize the details and then organize them more logically.

    Use Good Quality Graphics

You can use Graphics by using an image or your company’s logo to represent your band. To make a point, a baker can use a stylish image of a cupcake or batter to make his business card stand out, while a club owner can make his club logo look like an old-school black-and-white noir design—it all depends on your taste.

    To Sum It Up!

Even though most of the marketing structure has become digital, it still has not replaced the importance and relevance of business cards. You can now easily design your business card, but make sure you’re using the correct format and adding the important info first. Furthermore, make sure you have the correct shape selected that will help represent you while also making sure you are using a good-quality image.
